Helen Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 My own thoughts on this, for what they're worth!- An inspiring leader is one who regularly reflects on the provision, in an open and honest way, eg involving the staff, children and parents. She then uses this information whilst investigating other methods/processes, etc to see if there is something she can do to improve things. She makes a decision and presents it to others, clearly, and with the understanding that some members of staff may be resistant to change. She will support her staff through the change, continually monitoring it (however small the change), invite feedback and adapt as necessary (although recognising that time needs to be given to ensure changes have a fair chance of working!). She will then praise staff for the excellent work they do and how much she, children and parents appreciate their efforts. 4 Quote
