narnia
Well, sometimes your day is full of nappies and sometimes it's just fabulous. I bought a second hand saddle stand yesterday, and this morning, we turned it into a free-standing music/sound stand. For just £7, we have a portable sound station! We have hung pots, pans, fflower pots etc from it and it's been an instant hit. and then........................yesterday, my son sent me a message to ask if i wanted him to come down this weekend to make a start on a mud kitchen. I had already bought some old pallets for the job, so i said yes, that would be lovely, thank you. He turned up today with a kit of hammer, drill etc and said he would start pulling the pallets apart, so please to keep the children inside for a while so he could do that safely. less than ten minutes later, we spotted him putting up the kitchen! He had already made it at home in his garage..........and we are now the proud owners of a solid oak mud kitchen. Simple and beautiful and i love my wonderful son to bits for his generosity of spirit, his skill and the sheer sense of delight he took in giving us such a fabulous surprise.

narnia
You know, he and his little family are so lovely. His pa in law is terminally ill with prostate cancer and today, they discovered that his ma in law has skin cancer in three places. I wept when he told me, he just looked so crushed. My wonderful boy, with the weight of the world on his shoulders and yet had time to think of us. Why is life so unfair sometimes??
Fredbear
Ah Narnia it does feel like that sometimes doesn't it. But I'm sure with your love and support they will get through this most difficult time. Hugs Fx
