Guest Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Right folks, the time to dust off your sleigh bells and dig out the tangled rope lights is approaching! We would like you to upload some Christmas themed photos that can be displayed on the front page carousel (the image sliding thingy at the top of the home page). If you feel that you have appropriate shots of your setting, then please follow these instructions from now and all through December to upload them (*Note: images have to be approved by us before they appear, so there will be a delay between upload and display): Click on 'gallery' in the 'Apps' section of green navigation menu at the top of the page. Click on the 'Upload' button on the top right hand side of the page Click on the 'Select Category' button. A window will pop up, scroll down and click on the 'Select Category' button next to '--Christmas'. A 'Choose Files' button will appear, click on this and select your image file(s) from your computer. You will see the files being uploaded. Click 'Review & Publish' *Important - Enter a title for each image (default is the file name). This will appear in the green bar under the image. Click 'Finish & Publish' That's it!
Cait Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Ooh sounds good! Will get on that on Monday! 1
Steve Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 It would be good to get some Christmas photos up for 1st December when we'll be putting up the decorations chaps! We've never had a themed series of photos on the front page before, so if it works well we'll set up more albums for the front page and have a seasonal display. :1b
Guest Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 Folks, when you do upload seasonal pictures for this (please do, so that we have a nice festive site!), please make sure that you select the correct category so that we know you intend for the images to appear on the website. Please scroll down the window that pops up and select the category '-- Christmas' NOT '--Displays Christmas/winter' (an old category). If you've uploaded photos elsewhere for this, then please let me know, and I'll try to move them.
Cait Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 Ah, I did that. Having read the instructions I then lost them of course when I went on to the next screen, could you do a link to where you want them?
Cait Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 Ah, now I can see why. The only Christmas option was the displays one, on the iPad it won't scroll down so I can't see if there's one lower than this. I'll have a go next time I'm on the laptop 1
Steve Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 That's interesting Cait, thanks for posting the screenshot. We can probably move those for you to save you having to re-upload them. I'll get Matt to take a look at whether or not we can adjust that pop-up for iPad screens. 1
louby loo Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 I shall try later this week - can't promise, as my technical skills may not permit me. 1
