Guest Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Hi everyone, our day nursery (0-5) is coming up for an inspection soon, I was wondering if any one could tell me exactly what makes a nursery outstanding, what are the criteria we need to meet? and if there are a set of criteria, does anyone know where to find them. If not what is your understanding of what makes an outstanding day nursery. Thank you
sunnyday Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Check out resources - Helen added the 'Outstanding' criteria some time ago :1b

Madmum Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Interesting that this is posted in 'school inspections' - where your Nursery /EYFS can't be outstanding unless KS1 and 2 are as well, however hard you work and however 'outstanding ' you are!
Serena Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 We ahve just had an inspection. April 11th, and had an outstanding. Havenet received the draft report as yet. But my inspector said my sef contributes to that grade. She said that she just had to blend in and watch the sef comes to life.
Guest sn0wdr0p Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Congratulations Serena. You must all be very proud and rightly so.
