Guest Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Hi i have recently been landed with the role of manager i didn't want it but have no choice at the moment - it's a very long story but i am going to need help. i have been reading this forum for interest for a while and see that you are all a great support to each other. so i hope that i can be of help (even just to have a rant at) to you all. First thing: Appraisals, how often do you do them and does anyone know of a good template. i would guess at twice a year, one informal and one formal? You will probably see quite a lot of me in the coming months And my smilies dont work.... Thanks in advance - Louise. (Lou)
redjayne Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 I do an annual appraisal for all of my staff and every two to three months they have individual supervisions. I did post the supervision/appraisal form on here somewhere I will see if I can find it.
sunnyday Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Hi Lou and a very warm welcome to the forum :1b Wonder why your 'smileys' are not working........... I hold appraisals annually - however just to add to our workload we have to carry out supervisions too - I think these are meant to be termly....... Have you tried a 'forum search' - bound to turn something up for you - or you could check out 'resources' - I do have forms that i have downloaded from here in the past....... Looking forward to getting to know you :1b

Possum Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Secret is safe with us! We have appraisals every year, but need to get our heads round these supervisions now too. There are quite a few appraisal templates on here, I think our last one came from here.
zigzag Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Welcome from me as well, rest assured any question you ask on here someone will have the answer to it. Congratulations about the secret!!!
Guest sn0wdr0p Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Congratulations, I carry out annual appraisals and half termly supervision meetings which tie in with when staff do their PRAMS updates for the children so I moderate their assessments at the same time, look over their onservations and they can also discuss any concerns with me (not that we don't already do it on a daily basis anyway).
