We have a large contingent of traveller children in our setting. we are looking for recommendations of any books that we could get that show the traveller culture. Apparently there is a story book about a traveller child and his Wellies, does any one know it's title or of any other books we could get? Age range is 2 yrs to rising 5's

thank you in advance

It's called:

'Come and count with us!' and is a touchy-feely book (along the lines of 'That's not my...' books by Usborne) e.g. How many steps? 1 smooth, white step. It has objects in and around the traveller children's homes - counts up to 5. It's written and published by:Nottinghamshire Traveller Education Service, ISBN: 0-9552162-0-6. I have no idea how publicly available it is as it was given to us during some multicultural training. I can't find my notes from that at the moment but there may well be other suggestions in there - will let you know when I find them.
