We've been using the strapline 'Your child is our inspiration' on our prospectus but in view of our ethos of mess and outdoor play, and parental mutterings, we're trying to think of a new strapline that reflects our practice and sort of sets the scene for new parents thinking of sending their children to us.

We are just trying to redesign our brochures and welcome packs so it seems a good time to rethink it.... can any of you wonderful people come up with suggestions cos we are drawing a blank? :D

All we can come up with is some variation on dress for mess but that's not very inspiring!

Please help!

NIce, but maybe need to push the learning element too. It's quite hard to come up with a succinct one liner that says it all.

I like the one used on play based learning web site:

No Play, No Learning. Know Play, Know Learning. :)

Can the learning environment not be explained in more detail elsewhere.

Yes, it already is, but it seems parents are surprised when their children come out of Playgroup mucky. We just want to gear our promotional stuff to our outdoor ethos so that it's obvious right from the start.

We use 'where learning is fun'.

'Mess teaches best'

'Learning from the world around us'.

'The world as our classroom'

'Digging for knowledge'

'Spades full of learning'

'See it, feel it, touch it, smell it, taste it, learn from it'.

'Play is the highest form of research' Albert Einstein

What about asking the parents? It could even be done as a competition. That way it may stop mutterings and get more 'sign up' to the new one.

That's an idea, pity it's such a busy term with Jubilee celebrations, leavers services, Olympics, Progress summaries and transition paperwork on top of Obs and Learning Journeys and normal day to day stuff. Will definitely think about a competition though.

“The most effective kind of education is that a child should play amongst lovely things.” ~ Plato (Greek philosopher)

Then you could just add that some lovely things are messy :P

Well we think mud is lovely but I think our parents tend to disagree... :(

I'm in the early stages of setting up a new setting and our tag line is going to be "Making learning fun"
