Guest
Hi all Well building works at school mean that over the easter holidays there may not be any electric or heating so we are thinking school club may close. One committee member has suggested that we see if we can move to village hall. I was under the impression that we would have to stick to our registered premises for OFSTED. Anyone else been in this situation? Just wondered if it was a possibility before I see Head next week. Thanks
finleysmaid
id just give ofsted a ring and check them out...thay are there to help in these situations and they are supposed to put the needs of the children first ...perhaps just say its a possibility and you wanted to see what they thought? hali
you can move premises for a few weeks - i think depending on how many hours you open for. we did it but had to cut some sessions - phone Ofsted and ask what the hours are - ou may find you can run normlly
finleysmaid
if you are under 2 hours you dont need approval (though you need to tell the big O what you are doing) sessions under 2 hours are not registered...we did this before we received our new registration. Inge
if you want to run in any place other that that registered you have to have permission form Ofsted to open - but not sure if it is completely the same as you are ASC and not a preschool, may depend on ages of children attending, if none under EYFS it may had different answer..
