If there is spare cartons of milk left over (through illness, hoildays or the child dosent want it.)

Do you throw it away, let staff take it home or use it for staff tea ?

We throw it away , as I dont feel comfortable useing it when it has been paid for for the children

This is wasteful, so dont feel comfortable with this either !

We give ours out to children at lunchtime rather than throw it away.

could you send it home with the children? could you make something with it for the children to eat? Personally I wouldn't waste it down the drain.

if it would otherwise be wasted, I don't see a problem with using it for the staff room or taking it home. That's what we do. Make the best of it, with all these funding cuts, free milk might be the next thing to go :o

We offer it to parents and staff to take home as it is a better option than wasting it, or you could make smoothies and have it am, pm and at lunch!!

we used for staff drinks, then offered to parents or took home... unless we used it for making smoothies or cooking...

would never waste it by throwing away..

Certainly wouldn't throw it away. its not your fault that it hasn't been consumed, we share it out on a Friday amongst staff if any left. Saying that we still have the milkman so try to adjust as the week goes on to try to keep waste to a

minimum.
