Ideas For A Assembly On Growing?

Hi,

 

I'm new to the forum. Can anybody help me? I have 4 weeks till my class are to perform a class assembly (30 Reception children) to the parents. We will be learning about growing. Last year we did a very successful Assembly based on the story of the Hungry Caterpillar. That was in the Summer Term when I think the children are more ready for it. This year I don't have that luxury?

 

Any ideas?

Could children bring in pictures of themselves as babies to show how they've grown?

 

Plant cress seeds days apart so you can see the difference, and plant some so they can't grow, some in a fridge, sunny windowsill, in a box with a teeny hole so they get leggy, er, I'll keep thinking
