Sticky Tape Dispensers

Does such a dispenser exist that is child friendly, perhaps with some sort of guard to protect fingers and hands from the serrated metal?

Thanks sunnyday - could you post me a link please?

Thanks for this post. We have been debating this issue for a while, and I had looked at the Staples ones as an option, so I will go ahead and get some of those on your recommendation.

I have a business account with Staples for my own company, they are really good and if you spend over £30 you get free next day delivery. That way you also don't have to pay up front but get an invoice a month later. They send you regular catalogues and there are some great free offers. Also, you get a card to use instore where you just sign and it goes on your invoice. Not sure if they would do it for voluntary run preschools but it might be worth asking.

We use the sort that are weighted with sand which make them easy for children, but they do still have the sharp bit...some of our children pull the tape out on the dispenser then snip with scissors!

Thank you!

Do the Staples dispensers fall over when tape is tugged? If you know what I mean!

Yes they are quite small and light - so they need to hold with one hand and pull the tape with the other!
