Guest Posted November 7, 2009 Share Posted November 7, 2009 Well, i had my first ever Ofsted this week. It was great! Some fo you may be slightly confused, like many i was dreading it! I am in my second year of being leader in charge at my setting, and had been told throughout last year 'your due' 'your overdue' etc etc etc........... then they came! well a 'she' came, who was one of the most friendly and down to earth people i have met. The lady was with us for 2 days, day one dedicated to paperwork, day two you would not have known she was in the room! She stayed for coffee and cake at the end of the first morning! I am just so pleased that she made it as easy and unintrusive as she could, i was able to talk, talk, talk and really demonstrate the changes and progression we have made. It was not anything like i thought it was going to be. I wanted to share beause all i ever heard before being inspected was how 'scary' inspectors could be and how nervous an experience for everyone. So for all of you who are dreading it! Mine was alovely experience, my staff and myself felt calm and comfortable and were extremely happy with the outcome she gave us! I had a lovely experience with my childminding inspection, but am scared silly about the one we are 'due' as a new preschool managing supervisor. Fingers crossed it is a positive as yours!!
