Guest
Hi, When a parent comes to look around your setting, do you get them to sign the visitors book.Do you have a seperate book for these parents. It's just a thought. It's nice to see how other settings work. Dorinda

sunnyday
Yes - just one visitor's book - that said - I'm am the world's worst for remembering to ask people to sign it!
Panders
Everyone signs the same book, as this is a fire precaution. I used to have a separate visitors book and visitors wrote what the purpose of their visit was etc. but I don't any longer.

dottyp
We also have just one visitors book that all visitors sign. However, we do keep the book with our register and lunch club book to make sure it comes out everyday dottyp

Panders
Well Sunnyday, not only did my SIP not sign the book, I forgot at the last moment she was coming at all! We had arranged that she would come after everyone had left, so that we could get some peace and quiet, fortunately I had to nip downstairs to dispose of some broken glass when I returned there she was banging on the front door!! Why is it so hard to remember something soooooo simple?

Bigsue
Like the idea of a visitor comment book we only use a vistitor book, but some postive comments would be great to boost staff, let them know they are doing a good job. Sometimes we do it everyday but to have someone compliment you would be a great feeling. Must get one started for term 2 Thanks for the idea. My use it for all visitors not just my parents as surely they can spare a couple on mins to complete. Sue
