Hi

Am new to this - so hope it ok to post this which is nothing about EYFS lol.

My son is 16 at the end of this month and just wondered if anybody had any ideas what we could do or where to go to make it a bit special (not too expensive - credit crunch lol). Am in Worcestershire in case it makes a difference.

Thanks for your time

Lucy

I was going to suggest go-carting too

not sure about the age limits or the costs but what about Go-ape its all high up scary stuff

Lazer quest

Food! my daughters boyfriend turned 16 last week and when asked what he wanted he simply wanted a meal out with his friends and family and strangely thats what my daughter asked for last year when she turned 16 there's lots of pubs that serve 2 for 1 these days and at 16 he might be happier with a pub meal than a macdonalds i think its that "im an adult now so can I do something adult please"

I'm watching this as my daughter turns 16 in October. I was hoping for a family weekend in Hornsea but she's not keen??? She's just got back from school camp in the lake district and has been -Go Ape, mountain biking, conoeing, gorge scrambling (what ever that is!!) plus more so 'been there done that'. She's wanting a no parent house party-NO CHANCE!!

at the time, my son also wanted a ' grown up' meal with friends,

we booked the table, they all paid for own food, instead of giving anyhting as a gift which at that age they did not really feel they had to have..

we have lots of local suitable venues, so booked a local bar/ resaurant, in our case he was happy for us to join him and his mates, but if not we would have had a table for us somewhere as his choice was the bar...

it worked out a very good evening which cost us very little..
