Guest Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 I know this is a huge thing and would love to have lots of responses. Basically our outdoor area is being revamped and i've been asked by my head to research and get prices of waterproofs - preferably trousers and jackets. Thing is, there is so much out there and i need to have an order in before the summer hols! On top of everything else!! Any suggestions of where's best to get them from would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!
HappyMaz Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 I don't think I've welcomed you before, elg13. So welcome to the Forum! Have you tried a forum search? There have been lots of threads about this and it really depends on your budget. Click on the blue box on the top right of the screen marked 'Search forum posts' and type in 'outdoor clothing' or 'waterproofs' in the search box and you'll be inundated with opinion! Maz
Cait Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 Puddleducks have some, but as Maz says, it really depends on your budget
Guest Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 I bought all- in -one waterproof suits for £9.99 each for the under under threes and smaller four year olds and jackets and trousers at £6.99 for the older, bigger children. from Winfield stores on line. We used them all last winter including in the snow. The service was quick and good. hope this helps. Mind you the staff weren't too chuffed with the ex-Italian army ponchos which double as bivouacs, but at least they stayed dry!!!!!!
Guest Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 Checked Winfield megastores are still selling the suits at the stated prices. The all-in-ones are by rRegatta and the larger suits are produced by Dickies. :
HappyMaz Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 Thanks for this link, Ednaloy Here's the link if anyone else is interested. They are very reasonable aren't they? Maz
Guest Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 has anybody got the blue and red suits from the galt catalogue ?- I have money on my capital grant but can only use certain companies. Just wondered if they are any good - not really what I wanted. We liked muddy puddles.
