Guest Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 If we are receiving funding ,how many insect days are we allowed a year? Quote
Guest Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 Do you mean INSET days oldtimer, or are there special days set aside for insects now??? It must be that time of year I think! Quote
Steve Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 Um - Do you mean funded inset days Oldtimer? As in staying closed but still getting the Nursery Education Funding? Quote
Guest Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 Sorry folks!!!sometimes my spelling and english is dreadful, due to a brain op some years ago so please forgive me.I mean inset days we have 6 a year and I just wondered whether this is allowed? Quote
Steve Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 Hi oldtimer - No problem - I wasn't referring to the spelling, just to whether or not the days are funded, and whether that was the cause of your question. I can't see why, if you're not claiming the NEF grant on those days, you shouldn't shut for a reasonable number of days. If you are claiming the grant on those days, I didn't know you were allowed to do that! Quote
catma Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 Don't know about funding but I've called them insect days for ever since a small child asked if tomorrow was an insect day! Quote
Inge Posted December 8, 2004 Posted December 8, 2004 As they are usually for training or accreditaion recommended by ofsted we were told by our EYD we should be taking them, as schools have 5 that id what we do, although this year with accredditation we have had to take 6 to fit it in. being committeee led I did get approval from parents to do this.
