i really want to use some messy activities with the children that we havent used before - shaving foam,jelly but am stuck on ideas.

i am sure you lovely people out there can give me ( possibly hundreds ) of ideas - thanks in anticipation

wet sawdust is good it has to be wet so the children dont inhale it it is a bit like damp sand to mould and smells a bit different. porridge oats is quite good start dry and let the children add water the changes are quite interesting to observe. shredded newspaper in the water tray add water and let the children squish and shape.

we make clean mud with toilet tissue and soap fakes, you mix them together to make a nice moulding material. (this is really hard to clean as you can not wash it down the sink, but the chidlren have loads of fun with this) thiscan last about a week

what about cellulose, spaghetti, jelly with or without additions.
