Guest Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 (edited) I am starting a topic based on willy wonka and the chocolate factory. Does anyone have any ideas for literacy or numeracy activities for FS2 children linked to sweets/chocolate etc???? Thanks Kerry x Edited March 11, 2009 by Guest

Guest Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Hi Kerry and welcome to te forum - how about ice cream playdough - we had this activity outside last year - yoghurt pots with strawberry, lemon and of course chocolate playdough - lovely smells. Dot
blondie Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 welcome from me too - there was a thread a while ago about chocolate playdough and it also gave pictures of chocolates spheres, pyramids, fingers etc for the children to make - sorry dont know how to link you to this but sure someone else will
HappyMaz Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 (edited) You could do a taste test to see which sort of chocolate was everyone's favourite - lots of counting, graph making etc! Could you make some easter eggs - I know lakeland do the moulds. The children could write up their recipes/ingredients list and method etc. Yum! Welcome to the Forum, Kerry - I hope you make yourself at home! Maz Edited March 12, 2009 by HappyMaz

Shiny Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 I put this somewhere else the other day too, but thought you might be able to use it too!! I laminated it and used it as a menu for inspiration along with some empty chocolate boxes and truffle cases. Can_you_make_some_of_these_chocolates.doc
