Which Digital Camera Shall I Buy?

Hi and happy new year to You all!!

 

I am looking to buy a digital camera for my classroom for myself and the kids to use but I'm struggling!!! I'm not an ICT to buff so i would like one that downloads pictures to a laptop easily and one where to quality of pictures is reasonably good (to add pictures to childrens profiles & displays etc). i had a look at the fisher price one but the reviews aren't that good especially for picture quality. I quite like the sony cyber shot s560.

 

Which Camera do you use or recommend (no more than £80)

I have deleted your duplicate post as you will find that you only need to add something to one thread and it will come up for everyone to see.

BTW I used to love the Moomintrolls, and when I was very young followed them in the Yorkshire Post every week. My own children loved the books.

The Fisher Price is ok for children to use - but I wouldn't use it for anything I wanted to show as evidence!

 

Whatever you go for try and get as many megapixels as you can. And my particular bugbear is having to take the battery out to charge it - if I had my time again I'd go for one that you can plug into a docking station...

 

Its always difficult to make a firm recommendation because these things are so personal. Let us know what you finally decide on!

I bought the Tuff Cam for my pre-school children. Expensive but really easy for them to use, and it's a video camera also. However, I wouldn't use it has an 'adults' camera as the print quality is not as good as normal cameras.

Currys currently have a good deal on a Camera which would probably be suitable for adult use .

 

it is currently less than half price in the sale

 

i have seen and used it but not downloaded any pictures as it belonged to a friend. it does recharge the battery in the phone! She got a free camera case with it from the local store.

There are others there too, As said they can be a very personal choice.

 

(Our children do use a similar one wi9th lots and lots of supervision!!)

I got some 'digital blue 'snap'' cameras from tag leraning for use at my school. They are really good- easy for children to use but also take good quality pictures. You can by a bigger memory card to put in them to take more photos.

Welcome to the forum Moomin73.

We use a camera which sits on a docking station to recharge and also to print. However the ink was proving too costly and now our admin person prints them off on the computer printer.

Children could press the print button and 'do it themselves' which they loved to do.

What make you get will be a personal choice but I agree that the higher the megapixels the better it is.
