Guest Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Can anyone help me we are doing pirates at playschool this week and we have forgotten the words to the song that starts Went I was 1 I sucked my thumb Thanks Rosie
Verona Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 When I was one I sucked my thumb The day I went to sea I jumped on a ship and went for a trip And the captain said to me.. We're going this way, that way, Forwards and Backwards Over the deep blue sea A bottle of rum to fill my tum And that's the life for me. When I was two, I buckled my shoe..... When I was three I grazed my knee.... When I was four I knocked on the door........ When I was five I learned to dive.......... Is that the one???

Marion Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Slight variation .....We sing When I was one I banged my drum The day I went to sea I jumped on board a pirate ship and the captain said to me we're going this way, that way, forwards and backwards over the Irish sea a bottle of rum to warm my tum and that's the life for me When I was two I buckled my shoe When I was three I bumped my knee When I was four I knocked on the door When I was five I learnt to dive
