I would read this as yes as the FA is booked within the three months?
Is she already qualified - if so did she start before 2014/16 (I cant remember the actual year offhand) because that also makes a difference on the need for PFA.

Louby - sounds like you have it covered - I did have a little 'swoon' when I read 'new diary'
Sunny day - do you have Søstrene Grenes store near you? Bit of a game changer in the stationery department! 😂 It's sort of like an upmarket Ikea.... but Ikea prices. You walk around a meandering route whilst looking at lots of pretty things (including stationery) that you don't really need whilst listening gentle tranquil classical music! I also quite like a Tyger Tyger store too- but that one better with the GC in tow 😂

Thanks Louby, on the whole our lunch boxes are ok, I’m sure there will be back lash from some when we tighten up the ‘avoid’ list …..but we can only lead the horse.
Like you, most of the changes I already thought were a ‘thing’ anyway, I’ll write a separate attendance policy as absences are currently covered in something else.
I have been deputyless for most of last term (3rd in charge is acting) and now not returning this term which isn’t helping, they were, now aren’t so I’ve had to redo registers, rotas, move key chn etc which I really didn’t need this late on, and my dad passed away at the start of the holiday so a lot to process and do there, but thank goodness I had broken up x
Sorry to hear about your dad, but this also makes it more important to take care of yourself first. 🌷🌷🌷
Remember: ALWAYS PUT ON YOUR OWN OXYGEN SUPPLY BEFORE HELPING OTHERS!
I now subscribe to tw**kl (not sure if I'm allowed to put the full name) yes it is a tad expensive- but they seem pretty 'on it' and it's actually saved me a lot of time and 'mental energy'.
take care xx

how have you got on with the EYFS updates, most of the safeguarding requirements we already have in place, annoyed that the 2 yr SG training will add to training costs, I haven’t even started the nutritional or climate policy/plans yet, once up on a time I would never have gone back to work not having any new requirements in place, I would have liked to roll out an update nutritional policy for the start of term but doubt that will happen now and I don’t think ‘don’t put any c**p in the lunch box or we’ll have to send it home” will cut it 🤔
Best Wishes to everyone returning next week.
EYFS updates- pretty straighward for us really, it's how we work anyway. ( may have a quick read through this afternoon- the one page changes that is- not the whole EYFS document 😂)
Nutritional - we've tried to stick to that already, we only provide snacks- and they have always just been fruit, breadstick milk/water. . Our lunch boxes are usually pretty good, but we do give out a leaflet when the child starts. Re birthdays cakes etc... well our children tend to bring sweets (fun size) and we give these out at then end of the session when the parents/carers collect, we remind children they can only have when ok with parents - and I'm sticking with that!🤷♀️
Climate plan- my view is don't overthink it! Mine, when I write it next week will pretty much say- Recyle everthing we can, print less stuff, look after resources and buy secondhand and donate when possible! Oh, and use less chemicals ie hot saopy water for whiping tables down etc.
Hoping all goes well for you next week.

It is absolutely lashing it down as I write this - I know that we desperately need the rain - but it is battering my flowers that I have cared for so diligently 🙃
Morning all,
Sunnyday the same here!
Hope everyone has had a good week, and will have a good weekend too.
Well it's my last 'free day' 😂 Anybody want to tell me what I should have done if I had a 'to do list'? 😂😂
I've printed a register, new names will be done next week during 'work-time' We only have returners on the first week- so they can use their old names (I am cutting down on printing and especially laminating- we did used to do a new set for everyone each year)
I have a new diary to update- but again I'll do that monday morning at work 😮😂
Nothing else done- I really am holding out on only working during 'working time' 😊
........ athough I have literally just remembered I need to order milk delivery!!!!! Good job I remembered that- as our local shop is closed for a refit.

Sorry to hear about your week Sunnyday.
Louby loo, how do you feel about going back? Am I right in thinking it’s your last year?If I'm totally honest if the scouts/landlords rang me this afternoon saying 'sorry, you can't have the hall anymore' I wouldn't loose any sleep tonight! 😂
I am neither looking foward or dreading going back.
I used to enjoy spending time during the summer hols planning (not planning planning!) our return - updating policies, thinking about resources, going in to tidy cupboard and all that gumph etc. Then towards the end of the hols I would actually be looking fowards to returning, having more structure to my day and meeting people.
This year zilch interest whatsoever! - I guess it a case of "when you know you know" .... and I definitely know it's time. I don't even feel any guilt about not doing anything 😂

Late to the Friday chat - but just had a lovely week in Norfolk.
Sorry to hear about your week sunnyday. TIA's are a worry, but often a a early warning sign. My brother had one about 6/7 years ago, and is absolutely fine now, and they thought Andy had one about 10 years ago - but it turned out to be a return to migraines (he used to get really bad ones in his20/30s). The good news is they are now both in 'the system' and get regaular health check-ups. Andy has his next regular MRI scan next Sunday. Good that your week ended well with a little show 🎶🎶💃🎶🎶
Froglet- I love that you are enjoying the dog walks 🐕 😊
I just have one more week left before I return to work- I have no list, and I have done nothing much workwise this summer!!! (I may need to put a little effort in this week... well at least do the new registers 🙄😂)

Cait- so very true. I have a job Ive been putting off for months now, I really should just do it! (It is a job that includes forgotten passwords, it will eith be easy or very stressful) 😩
How lovely for you Sunnyday 😊
We took the GC to one of the free viewing platforms up in London this week. They loved it- the excitment when they got out of the lift and saw the "whole of London" 😂
Have a good week everyone. We are off to the coast for a few days next week- and I'm glad it cooling down a bit. I'm not really a heat lover- to me 24 is hot!

What did you do with it? I have two old but working Berninas to part with but don’t know where to start with them. I thought about Facebook marketplace but not sure about strangers rocking up when I’m here alone
I put it on our village facebook site for sale. I didn't actually want any money for it - but we have a lady who tries to take everything offfered free to resell! 🙄.
The lady that had the maching made a charity donation when I said you could just have it. 😊

Yep! I aways seem to be 'just moving stuff', either that or I have everyting spread out on the spare bed - then suddenly need it cleared so I quickly put it all in a big bag and out of sight!

Sorry, late to the party.
The whole thing is a nightmare! Can you imagine any other business putting up with the c**p we have to!!!!
We have to sign our contracts in March- very often without a confirmed hourly rate... Can you see the head of the Bank on England working with those terms.
We have started a breakfast club - non funded, and now close earlier to cover the lunch break for the 15 hours funded. Currently we allow 30 hours funding to cover this 15 mins - and this actually attracts the '15 hours' parents to pay for the extra 15 mins.
We too are a not-for-profit graoup, if i'm honest i can't see us lasting beyond Christmas. I am now far to old for all this messing about having to justify every last penny they give us!!
Rant over.

Yes absolutely legal and yes its a great way to boost income. However it has to be privately funded as the funding doesn't allow you to 'claim' any school funding
Yes, but as finleysmaid says- the parents/carers have to pay.

Looking like another nice weekend weather wise here and after a very quiet weekend at home last weekend, like buses all my social events have arrived this weekend!!!
Drinks with friends this evening hopefully in their lovely little courtyard garden
Late lunch in the pub with friends tomorrow
Sunday lunch with relatives
Hosting lunch in my garden Monday with my bestie who has come home from Canada after 21 years - it is so nice to have her back in the same time zone lol
Think my diet is going to take a pasting this weekend 😆🤦♀️
Better try and up my step count next week and only eat the cucumbers we are growing as they get ready to pick 😆
Have fun whatever you are up to and enjoy the sun xxx
That sounds like a lovely few days 😊

Morning all.
We had nothing Monday - and I was looking foward to a good storm, very heavy and humid here. 😳
Another very chilled week here too, that said the GD only finished school Tuesday, so 'day's out and treats' will be more so now- and we did manage to go fruit picking between showers yesterday (plums- it took us less than 5 mins to get loads!)
I'm a little sad as we had to turn down 'dog sitting' - due to a hyper dog and our 18/19 year old cat. A few years ago she could have easily 'held her ground" with the said dog, but she's now deaf so just not fair on her.
Off for a one mile walk to the post office, then back..... only problem is it's bit too early to stop of at the pub for a coffee once down there 😂
Have a good weekend everyone. xx

That’s a wrap, not the easiest school group we’ve ever had and a year of staffing problems so not sorry to see the back of it, but now have a mountain of admin to catch up on, I’m not even sure I remember what my job is anymore 🤷♀️
I dusted off the sewing machine when my little GDaughter arrived ….
Love it!😍
