  1. Good afternoon gentle folk louby loo I feel quite exhausted after reading all that lol Survived my fun but very busy weekend last week so looking forward to a much quieter one this weekend. Have fun whatever you end up doing and hope the sun shines for you although the thunderstorm and big rain we had yesterday made hubby happy as he got a night of watering the veggies ⛈️
  2. Looking like another nice weekend weather wise here and after a very quiet weekend at home last weekend, like buses all my social events have arrived this weekend!!! Drinks with friends this evening hopefully in their lovely little courtyard garden Late lunch in the pub with friends tomorrow Sunday lunch with relatives Hosting lunch in my garden Monday with my bestie who has come home from Canada after 21 years - it is so nice to have her back in the same time zone lol Think my diet is going to take a pasting this weekend 😆🤦‍♀️ Better try and up my step count next week and only eat the cucumbers we are growing as they get ready to pick 😆 Have fun whatever you are up to and enjoy the sun xxx
  3. @Butternut Sadly I cannot answer your question but when you were talking about a new qualification checker I thought I would look it up to share in case others have not seen it. Early years managers can now use the new Check an early years qualification digital service to quickly verify whether staff qualifications meet the requirements for staff:child ratios in England. The new service can be accessed at https://check-an-early-years-qualification.service.gov.uk/?utm_source=bedford&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=la This free GOV.UK tool allows managers to check a qualification’s approval status by entering key details such as: · course start date · level · awarding organisation At the end of the process, a clear outcome is provided, which can be printed for your records. Why use the new service? Using the new Check an early years qualification service: · saves time during recruitment and HR processes · supports workforce planning ahead of the September 2025 expansion of funded childcare entitlements · reduces confusion when checking qualifications The service is tailored specifically for early years managers. All other user groups (for example practitioners) should continue to use the Early Years Qualifications List (EYQL) to check qualifications, and contact our supplier Ecctis if they are unable to find the qualification on the EYQL. The Check an early years qualification service is for qualifications achieved in the UK. Holders of non-UK qualifications should continue to contact our supplier Ecctis for an assessment. If you need help using the service you can contact DfE. Thank you for your continued support of the sector.
  4. Oh Mouse that is so cute.....you should be on Sewing Bee - do you watch it? I never cease to be amazed that these people that go on these programs like Sewing Bee and Bake off don't seemed to have done their homework and tried lots of different tasks/recipes in readiness for what is thrown at them lol

  6. Morning Beautiful weather here in Lewes and looking like I will be doing some early dog walks over the weekend before it gets too hot. My hubby is golfing Saturday and Sunday so some nice quiet time - me, the dog and my audiobook while I dog walk and then potter round the house/garden. Enjoy your weekends whatever you get up to peoples 💗
  7. Morning sunnyday Beautiful morning here 🌞 I am working from home today and have all the doors open so nice breeze although my daft black dog is laying on the patio in the full sun! Seriously he is a proper sun worshipper and lays there until he is so hot and panting 🤦‍♀️ Fun weekend in prospect including a 60th birthday BBQ on Saturday and dog walk on the Sunday. Not doing any chores lol Have fun whatever you end up doing in this lovely sunshine 💟
  8. Hi Please follow this link Dorking Nursery School - Early Years Courses and Events to access details of courses being offered this summer by the Dorking Nursery school Sue Admin Team
  9. My friend I was with kept saying how lovely he thought the Canterbury embroidery was as it was made in Canterbury! I have to say it was fascinating but the museum is shutting for refurbishment in Aug 25 and will not reopen until Oct 27 so you will not be able to see it for 2 years! I do worry for the cafes etc in Bayeux as apart from the embroidery and the cathedral there is not a lot of other things for visitors to see.
  10. Good afternoon gentle folk I am feeling a little demob happy as today is my last day in the office for a week - off to Normandy next week with friends and very excited. Visiting Monet's Garden and the Bayeux Tapestry in between eating and drinking far too much I am sure lol Have a good weekend and enjoy another May bank holiday weekend at the end of next week 😊 Take care xxx
  11. Ahh how lovely and belated birthday to you x
  12. Hi all @Mouseketeer delighted to hear your little one has arrived all safe and sound 💟 The weather is fab here in Sussex although it is suppose to be a little cooler at the weekend - I have my niece staying and she has requested a stomp on the downs so that will suit me if it is a little cooler especially as I would like to take the dog with us. Have fun whatever you all do with your long weekends x
  13. Hi @chloemorgan The partially deleted status is now live on Tapestry - please see Emily's post above. Tutorial can be found here to help you
  14. @Mouseketeer Any News 🐣 - Really hope all is well. Easter weekend flew by with 2 days of lovely weather and 2 of ok/bit chilly weather Managed to see most of the family over the weekend either in real life or via FaceTime so that was nice. Hubby and I shared one normal sized bar of Lindt Hazelnut chocolate so were were very good on the chocolate front - bottles of wine??? Maybe not so much 🤣 Have a good short week one and all xx
  15. Ahh sunnyday - sorry you are poorly......sending love and bestes get well wishes xx
  16. How is it Friday again????? Seriously the time goes so fast it makes my head spin sometimes. Cold and bright here too, hoping the weather lasts for at least Saturday & Sunday morning as meeting friends and we are planning a wander round Arundel Saturday and staying in Littlehampton overnight so will be walking out for brunch Sunday morning ..... might need the fresh air and there is wine on the agenda 🍷 Lovely news Zigzag - I love being a nanny although as I am in Sussex and he is in Lancashire it is not so easy - thank goodness for facetime! Have fun weekends one and all and fingers crossed for fine weather for those of you inclined to garden 😬
  17. Afternoon all Miserable murky day here again......please spring can you just get an earlier train and arrive now!!!! Very quiet weekend pottering about planned and if this weather does not cheer up so I can get out to walk the dog the ratio of under the duvet to out of the duvet may be very narrow lol Take care and have fun whatever to all do xx
  18. Hi Trekker You need to have a crafty member of staff that could whizz them up on a sewing machine as they are only a rectangle sewn on 3 sides I guess. Maybe stupid suggestion but could you use large zip & seal type bags that you could then write names on or do they have to be big enough for a pillow too? Sorry never worked in a setting with beds so not sure what bedding needed. Sue x
  19. Morning all Cold old January here in Lewes. The snow on Wednesday came thick and fast about 4pm and any grit that had been on the roads had been washed away by rain and it caused chaos on the roads round here 😱 The roads are now clear but the snow is laying on the downs as it has been so cold since and so the downs look very pretty. I have a quiet weekend planned thank goodness....still trying to get over having had a house full for 2 weeks over the christmas holidays lol Take care all of you and keep warm Sue x
  20. Hi trekker Sadly I cannot answer your question I just wanted to say hello and how nice it was to see you on the forum again...it has been a little while. Hopefully some of the gang will be along to answer your question soon but just wanted to say hi 😊 Sue
