  1. Hi Please follow this link Dorking Nursery School - Early Years Courses and Events to access details of courses being offered this summer by the Dorking Nursery school Sue Admin Team
  2. My friend I was with kept saying how lovely he thought the Canterbury embroidery was as it was made in Canterbury! I have to say it was fascinating but the museum is shutting for refurbishment in Aug 25 and will not reopen until Oct 27 so you will not be able to see it for 2 years! I do worry for the cafes etc in Bayeux as apart from the embroidery and the cathedral there is not a lot of other things for visitors to see.
  3. Good afternoon gentle folk I am feeling a little demob happy as today is my last day in the office for a week - off to Normandy next week with friends and very excited. Visiting Monet's Garden and the Bayeux Tapestry in between eating and drinking far too much I am sure lol Have a good weekend and enjoy another May bank holiday weekend at the end of next week 😊 Take care xxx
  4. Ahh how lovely and belated birthday to you x
  5. Hi all @Mouseketeer delighted to hear your little one has arrived all safe and sound 💟 The weather is fab here in Sussex although it is suppose to be a little cooler at the weekend - I have my niece staying and she has requested a stomp on the downs so that will suit me if it is a little cooler especially as I would like to take the dog with us. Have fun whatever you all do with your long weekends x
  6. Hi @chloemorgan The partially deleted status is now live on Tapestry - please see Emily's post above. Tutorial can be found here to help you
  7. @Mouseketeer Any News 🐣 - Really hope all is well. Easter weekend flew by with 2 days of lovely weather and 2 of ok/bit chilly weather Managed to see most of the family over the weekend either in real life or via FaceTime so that was nice. Hubby and I shared one normal sized bar of Lindt Hazelnut chocolate so were were very good on the chocolate front - bottles of wine??? Maybe not so much 🤣 Have a good short week one and all xx
  8. Ahh sunnyday - sorry you are poorly......sending love and bestes get well wishes xx
  9. How is it Friday again????? Seriously the time goes so fast it makes my head spin sometimes. Cold and bright here too, hoping the weather lasts for at least Saturday & Sunday morning as meeting friends and we are planning a wander round Arundel Saturday and staying in Littlehampton overnight so will be walking out for brunch Sunday morning ..... might need the fresh air and there is wine on the agenda 🍷 Lovely news Zigzag - I love being a nanny although as I am in Sussex and he is in Lancashire it is not so easy - thank goodness for facetime! Have fun weekends one and all and fingers crossed for fine weather for those of you inclined to garden 😬
  10. Afternoon all Miserable murky day here again......please spring can you just get an earlier train and arrive now!!!! Very quiet weekend pottering about planned and if this weather does not cheer up so I can get out to walk the dog the ratio of under the duvet to out of the duvet may be very narrow lol Take care and have fun whatever to all do xx
  11. Hi Trekker You need to have a crafty member of staff that could whizz them up on a sewing machine as they are only a rectangle sewn on 3 sides I guess. Maybe stupid suggestion but could you use large zip & seal type bags that you could then write names on or do they have to be big enough for a pillow too? Sorry never worked in a setting with beds so not sure what bedding needed. Sue x
  12. Morning all Cold old January here in Lewes. The snow on Wednesday came thick and fast about 4pm and any grit that had been on the roads had been washed away by rain and it caused chaos on the roads round here 😱 The roads are now clear but the snow is laying on the downs as it has been so cold since and so the downs look very pretty. I have a quiet weekend planned thank goodness....still trying to get over having had a house full for 2 weeks over the christmas holidays lol Take care all of you and keep warm Sue x
  13. Hi trekker Sadly I cannot answer your question I just wanted to say hello and how nice it was to see you on the forum again...it has been a little while. Hopefully some of the gang will be along to answer your question soon but just wanted to say hi 😊 Sue
  14. Hi There are some other conversations on the forum that might give you some ideas here 😊
  15. Go for it!!!! You have my blessing with jiggle bells attached 🎅 💗
  16. We are delighted that they made you smile 💗 All our Love Sue
  17. Hi Juliekb Welcome to the forum 😊 Glad you have worked it out but do ask if you have anymore questions. Sue
  18. @louby loo all done for you x
  19. @louby looshall I try and delete some of the duplicate posts for you?
  20. Happy Friday all. I am going to watch the Olympic opening ceremony later I think...the competitors are arriving down the Seine on boats I think! If you are interested in gymnastics the first 2 parts of the Netflix documentary about Simone Biles is a really interesting watch. The next episodes will be shown in the Autumn after she competes and will chart how she got on. Have fun weekends peoples xxx
  21. That made me smile....my mum often ends up watching old films including Christmas ones when she is fed up of whatever is on offer on the TV. I will suffer through the footie on Saturday evening although I cannot say i am excited about the prospect ..... feel I have to do it though because if I don't watch it I cannot moan about it after the event lol Sunday afternoon if I have done all my chores I plan to sit and watch the British grand prix. My daughter is a big F! fan and has got me dipping in far more often than I used to. I have to get the house ready for the arrival of my grandson next week who is coming to stay with Nanny and Papa. William will be 3 in September so he is at that fab age where everything is exciting and interesting. We have some nice days planned including the sea life centre and Brighton peir so hopefully the weather will be kind. The sandpit (well a builders tray) will be refilled with sand and the golf/cricket/football eqipment will be dusted down ready for use. So as I will be running around like a loon after a toddler next week feel free to use the C word without fear of being sent to the naughty step 😆
  22. I hadn't thought about that issue as in a school based nursery might effectively replace/put out of business a local PVI setting but one is full day care and the other term time only. Working families cannot be limited to term time only settings.....trying to cover the holidays especially of you are a single parent is almost impossible. Another issue to overcome. I do, on the other hand think what Helen said above about maybe nursery staff could benefit from better pay and conditions would be a great thing for the workforce.
  23. Hi sunnyday Sun is shining here too...about time lol 3 - 95 - how wonderful...hope you took lots of photos 💗 The football.....hmmm well think Gareth Southgate might have lost the plot. I know players cannot always play were they normally play for their own teams but some of the roles seem a bit bonkers and it's no wonder players are not performing well 🥺 Anyway, have wonderful weekends one and all and hopefully the good weather will last 🙏
  24. It is all about balance sunnyday....one side of the basket was salad and antipasti (can't be bothered to cook when he is away) and so the other side was wine and chocolate...Balance! 😄
  25. Good morning and all that but can I ask how is it Friday again already????? It seems like 5 minutes ago I read your message last Friday! Needless to say I did not get out on the golf course last Saturday but I did manage a round on Monday in the sun in my shirtsleeves 🌞 No playing golf for me this weekend but will be mostly walking the dog, pottering around doing a few chores then spending hours watching The Masters from Augusta, Georgia (big golf tournament for those not interested in golf). Hubby left about 10 minutes ago to travel up to Preston to spend the weekend with my son & gorgeous grandson so I have the house all to myself. I went yesterday and brought all my favourites to eat over the weekend and a bag of malteasers might have fallen in the basket next to the wine....these accidents happen but what's a girl to do eh??? Have fun weekends whatever you are up to xx
