Pesky metro, on a school trip when I was 13 a man on a very crowed metro was rubbing his hand up and down my thigh.
A teacher heard me telling my friend when we got off and her reply? 'Oh, lucky you'.
Councilling anyone????

On the thread of 'yobish behaviour', two friends of ours were in the local 'Spar' last Thursday night, when in ran two masked men (youths?) waving gums around and shouting for everyone to get on the floor.
The one friend, 50 ish and not one to stand for nonesence and who had just been to the local chinese takeaway, said 'What? I'm not getting on the floor for anyone, my curry'll go cold, f**k off' and the other friend, 20 ish, mad as a hatter, said 'Well you can shoot me cos I'm suicidal anyway', Both masked men hesitated and then turned and fled. Not so brave in the face of such insanity!!

Sorry Tracey, cant help on that one, Desmond Morris wrote a book about cats years ago and I've recently seen one with a title something like 'Everything your cat wouldnt want you to know'. I've had my fair share of cats with strange behaviour, my 'baby' wo died 4 years ago used to sit in the basin in the bathroom and lick the soap,

Hi Oldtimer, when we were interviewing earlier this year somebody told me a good question would be ' Describe your favourite activity, explain the learning you would expect to take place from it and describe any extention activities' I did'nt have to ask it though because we took someone on with no training, so not sure how it would work. Good luck

Yes Sue I saw, but as I cant spell it I'm not totally convinced that you did it right!!!
-
Sorry Carol, it's the only adult converstaion I get . And anyway you should be watching the opening of your new parliament not doing housework
-
You're starting to worry me Sue....really
Go to bed, shut the curtains and let us know as soon as the little people start talking to you
-
Profound and most abject apologises, will not involve lawyer until lemsip has taken effect.
Hope you soon feel better
-
I refute the scandalous claim that I said you can't spell. I merely asked if that was how 'bottles' was spelt in Nottingham. You will be hearing from my lawyers shortly should this claim be read by any others!
-
And they spell 'BOTTLES' how? in Nottingham???
-
Blimey, will need a policy on that one next! Or is it covered by 'unorthorised persons'?
They at least sound better than some of the staff you've got there

It's an on going bug bear of mine that the children not only dont respond when I say hello to them, but they are usually allowed to ignore me by their parents. 7/8 years ago it wasnt so bad, in fact it was so rare for the children not to say hello or good morning that I particulary remember one little boy who never spoke to me on arrival. I used to ask him to please say 'hello, I'm happy to be here' it got to be a bit of a ritual. On his very last day he came in and said it, Just managed to hold back the tears.
Anyway back to bad manners, a parent came to collect her daughter today and stood in the hall for 10 mins on the phone with staff trying to clear up and watch her child, and then when she left she didnt even say goodbye.
(P.S. if anybody knows aything about tadpoles, PLEASE, let me know! And if I find out how they have managed to prolong their youth I will share the secret!!!)

No Hali, I havent really got time at the moment, I only asked because I tried to send the page on policies to a friend, as it used outlook I was stuck, but no worries, she's going to come to mine and take a look over a couple of bottles (oops glasses!) of wine
-
Sorry I cant help either, but HELLO
-
I'd actually like to know just WHY they are still tadpoles! They've been in the garden since the early summer. Wonder if Disney are interested in 'Tadpoles in ice'?
-
Rather a frogist comment there, my tadpoles ears have been covered!
-
Sorry, it appears carrier pigeon might be quicker. Scanner in total denial of it's existence, perhapes if I sneak up on it......

Hi Peggy, I cant open your link. The leaflet has Birmingham EYPDC on it, so not sure if it's a nationwide thing. I will try to put it onto the computer (I know I promised not to do this sort of thing, but I'm feeling grown up!)

Black and orange? How about grey and grey! Yuk

We use a dice with colours on and coloured pegs, they take turns with the dice and then pick the peg.

I got up really late this morning, scrapped my hair back in a very unflattering way and raced to work. One beautiful little girl looked me up and down (twice) and said 'what DO you look like?' (Must try harder)

Hope your mom's first week at home has been everything you all wanted it to be
-
.....no idea about the jelly fish though.

Sue, youre not going mad, we often sit at home with puzzled faces after seeing some of the AD's on TV
I remember a simpler, easier to understand, to the point kind of ADs. TV has gone mad, I remember about 6/7 years ago watching the Sooty show with my youngest, and heard Matthew Corbett say 'GIT'!!!
I was horrified, but that was only the start, words which we were never allowed to say when we were younger are common place, and I'm not old either, 39 (ish)!!! It's a downward spirral, and we all see it daily with the parents and children in our settings. Oh for the good old days!!!
