Hi Chloe Sorry it’s a late reply, congratulations on the new post. Do you know how your new setting plans already? maybe it already works, maybe not. We are also 2 to 4’s in one space, we moved to In the moment planning a few years ago, with an experienced team it was great, with a less experienced team it wasn’t working (even with training and mentoring) so we have returned to a slightly more formal way without it creating a lot of work. -

Nursery Management System – Various Highly-Requested Features and Updates
The following features and updates are now available in your account: Funding Allocation Report View a breakdown of funded and unfunded hours for each child, including funding type, rate, and total value. As with all other reports, you can export a CSV copy. Learn more about it on the Management System Reports tutorial. Room Moves Reports Displays all upcoming room moves, showing each child’s move date, name, DOB, current and future room, and age at the move. Filters and CSV exports are available. Learn more about it on the Management System Reports tutorial. More Compact Printed Registers We’ve added new settings to reduce printed registers’ page count, including smaller fonts and options to remove page breaks. Universal Credit Compliant Payment Invoices and Receipts Paid invoices now clearly show payment date and method (BACS, cheque, card, TFC, etc.). Email receipts include the child’s name, and custom text (e.g., address, Ofsted number) can be added from Management System > Config > Payments. Collection Passwords on Register Tap a child’s name on the register to view their collection password. Quick Access to Child Dashboards from Register Managers can tap a child’s name on the register to open their dashboard. Other Updates This update also includes minor bug fixes and user interface improvements for a smoother experience. -

Autism Progression Framework
Hi everyone! I would like to add the Autism Progression Framework to our Bespoke Frameworks on Tapestry to use to assess children in our setting. I have had a go using the guide to adding bespoke frameworks but have been unable as there are no headings!?? Does anyone know whether this would actually be possible to do, or have already done so or whether it is something that Tapestry might add in the future? Many thanks for any help, Julie -

How to plan for 2-4year olds in one room
Hi, I start a new job role soon as manager for a preschool nursery (I am currently a toddler room leader). At my new setting it is just one room that caters for 2-4 year olds. How do I go about planning? Do I need to do separate weekly plans for each age range or just one weekly plan ensuring that the activities are suitable for all ages? Also any tips or advice on anything preschool manager related would be amazing! 😊 Thank you! -

Using Chat GPT to write observations
I'm looking for advice with regard to one of my younger practitioners using ChatGPT to help write observations. Her observations look amazing and the other staff members feel that it is unfair because they don't want to use assistance to write their observations but they are no longer confident in what they are writing -

nursery Closure Days / Bank Holidays
I am currently transitioning to using Tapestry's Management System. I would like to know how Tapestry treats any closures entered when invoices are generated. Is it deducted or ignored? We charge for all bank holidays and holiday absences, our fees are worked out over 52 weeks of the year. If Tapestry deducts a Bank Holiday or a week where a chid is absent, for example, then presumably we would not enter any bank holidays or child absences? The latter is concerning as we are required to monitor child absences, so entering a legitimate child holiday is as important as a child not attending for some other reason, e.g. temperature / gone to see granny!
