Eric Carle has lots of lovely books relating to mini beasts. You could do a search for them on Amazon.

This is probably a stupid question but when do minibeasts begin appearing outside?

 

We are planning to do minibeasts in a months time but do you think this might be too early?

Hi Cazza, depending on which minibeasts you are thinking of, they are around all year round.

 

Look under a log and you will find beetles and woodlice, all year round. Spiders too. Ive just seen bees, and ladybirds in my garden today, although Ive not yet seen butterflies, but I bet they're about in the warmer south.

I saw a butterfly almost 2 weeks ago mundia, I was surprised but so was the butterfly when the cat pounced Missed it though

 

I have snails in my garden you are quite at liberty to remove

its quite OK Rea, you're more than welcome to keep your own snails, ive yet to put out my courgettes in case they pounce..
