Guest Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 Peggy - you cannot do degree study on your holidays!!!!!!!! OK, well a minimal amount of background reading if you must but I feel I really must put my foot down with a firm hand! Holidays are for resting and enjoying yourself - maybe a little bit of impulse purchasing of some lovely resources for nursery but NOT WORK!!! Quote

Guest Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 If anyone would like to post the full words to the song ( I do recall the tune) I am sure my daughter ( who works with me) will love it if I sing it every day at preschool with the children until the 27th I am wicked. Wore my sunglasses at work yesterday saying I needed to prepare for the hot sun. Took the children on a local walk and we saw a palm plant in a garden at which I said, " Ooh look, they have those in Barbados" Daughter has threatened to go into a deep depression unless I shut up about it. Just a tad excited and can't help it though. Just one verse and chorus will be sufficient Peggy Quote
Guest Wolfie Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 Can't help with the words but I remember that the band were "Typically Tropical"......I had the single! - you might be able to download something with that information?! Quote
Guest Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Whoa! I'm going to Barbados Whoa! in the sunny caribbean sea Fly away on coconut airways come fly me high, Barbados sky..... How sad is that! (from memory that is, most probably the words are completely different!) Quote
Beau Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Barbados Lyrics Ladies and gentlemen this is Captain Tobias Willcock Welcoming you aboard Coconut Airways Flight 372 to Bridgetown Barbados. We will be flying at a height 32.000 feet and at an air speed of approximately 600 miles per hour. Refreshments will be served after take-off. Kindly fasten you safety belts and refrain From smoking until the aircraft is airborne. Woh I'm going to Barbados woh backa to the palm trees. Woh I'm going to see my girl friend Woh in the sunny Caribean sea. I don't want to be a bus driver all my life. I've seen too much of Brixton town in the night. Fly away on Coconut Airways fly me high Barbados sky. I look up the sky and I see the clouds. I look down at the ground and I see the rain go down the drain. Fly away on Coconut Airways fly me high Barbados sky. Woh I'm going to Barbados woh backa to the palm trees . . . Far away from London Town and the rain It's really very nice to be home again. Mary Jane met the Coconut Airplane. Now I know she loves me so. Woh I'm going to Barbados woh backa to the palm trees . . . Ladies and gentlemen we are now commencing our approach To Bridgetown Barbados. The weather is fine with a Maximum temperature of 90 degrees Fahrenheit. The sky is blue And the palm trees are really cool. Captain Willcock and his Crew hope you have had a pleasant flight and that you will Fly Coconut Airways again. Woh I'm going to Barbados woh backa to the palm trees . . Quote
Beau Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 As it happens I'm a real Singstar addict but this isn't one of the songs on it. Although I know the song, there is no way I would've remembered all of the words. I'm afraid I just googled the lyrics, copied and pasted. Quote
