Gezabel
One I have used many times and only needs basic ingredients! Children love it! 4 oz (100g) soft butter or marg 2 oz (50g) castor sugar 5 oz (150g) self raising flour Pre heat oven to 180 C and lightly grease two baking trays Beat marg and gradually beat in sugar. Mix in the flour Bring mixture together with your hands to form a dough Form dough into balls about the size of a walnut and place well apart on the baking trays. Dip a fork in a little water and use this to flatten the biscuits. Bake for 15-20 mins until pale golden, leave to cool. The above ingredients makes about 16 biscuits

Gezabel
Hi Emma Sorry I haven't tried it with cutters. Maybe Marion's recipe would be better as that one says roll out thinly and cut. Mine results in quick a 'sticky' dough and not sure it would be great with cutters. We really use it because it needs no eggs!
Guest
This is an egg free recipe that can be used with cutters- didn't know if you would be interested Geraldine Basic Biscuit Recipe 175g/6oz Plain Flour 100g/4oz Butter or Margarine 50g/2oz Caster Sugar Pre-heat oven to 150°C/300°F Gas 2 Cream the butter or margarine and caster sugar together until they are light and fluffy. Stir in the flour and once mixed knead the dough together until it forms a ball, add a sprinkle of flour if the dough is at all sticky. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface until it is about 5mm thick. Cut out the dough using your chosen cutter. Place the biscuits on a floured baking tray and bake in the centre of the oven for 25 minutes or until golden brown.

Guest
Thanks for the no eggs recipes-we have a child who is allergic to them with us at the moment and trying to find baking activities that don't include eggs is hard. Linda
