Lisa_White_1475760496
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone uses their premises to host their Xmas party- Our guidance is 26 children on the premises at any one time- however, in the past, a party has been hosted at end of term and that can be around 32 children. Is this a complete no-no ? or is this a special one-off event and therefore not deemed a break in the rules? Not sure where to have put this query so hoping someone can help. many thanks Lisa
zigzag
We have always held one off parties with more children. But that was our choice, not sure where you stand legally! I am sure someone more helpful will come along soon and help you!
louby loo
Going back a few years I just used to write to Ofsted, include a risk assessment and hold the party. Then they started writing back saying no need to tell them anymore. That said- our hall is actually massive so the floor space rules would allow us the have them all in now anyway.
