Trains and tracks!

I found this and thought it might come in handy for some of you...….i'm sure we've all got a wooden train track but having played with it for 20 years I sometimes need some new ideas, this is full of them

There is also a book and although a bit American it might be useful as a starting point.

Our favourite activity at the moment is leaves on the line (autumn leaves in the small world tray with tack) and snow around the track with trees etc.  but I did love the train ski slope on this site....just made me laugh!

Ooh, this is great! I shall be pinching these ideas - we've got some very very train orientated children this year, this will focus and challenge them! I think I might make some of the activity pictures into post cards for the children to look at, talk about and attempt
