Guest Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 How do you give your staff a voice? Do you have a display board? Quote
Cait Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 Staff meetings, appraisals and daily 'catch up' chats. Presumably you do these too, what are you wanting to have, over and above this? Quote
FSFRebecca Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 When we complete our annual development plan (DP) which is, at first, based on the manager's view, the senior leader's view and the owners' view we then pass it to staff (have it out in the staff room for everyone to see) and ask them to comment on our ideas or add their own ideas. They have a couple of weeks to comment and then we finalise it and leave a copy out to remind everyone. The DP is reviewed 1/2 termly and we ask staff that have been on any training or who are doing any higher level study if they have seen or learned anything new that they think we should add to the ongoing DP. It's very much a 'work in progress' and by the end of the year is a little 'dog-eared'. Anything that has not been completed is carried forward or an explanation written as to why we decided not to do it in the end. Quote
blondie Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 we also have a suggestion box for staff ideas, suggestions etc., as we found that some staff didn't feel confident to put forward their ideas but mostly we are as cait Quote
