Staff Exit Interview

 Share

Recommended Posts

Hello all

We have had two members of staff resign within weeks of each other. They have both given reasons such as new jobs and wanting to move on but I feel maybe there are underlying issues too, they have worked there many many years.

Has anyone carried out exit interviews or exit forms for staff. Is there anything we should cover?

Thanks

Claire

I no longer work for a setting but I did an exit interview I was committee in these days not staff, and to be honest although we said that she was leaving for a better job she actually was just fed up of the endless demands being made from the 'powers that be' more and more work needing to be done at home and that the job just wasn't worth the pay that she got.

She started to be a cleaner and got paid double what she did at playgroup!

I didn't really learn much from doing the interview to be honest, as committee we knew how much work they did, how little their pay was, and yes at times there were tensions between staff but we couldn't actually do anything about it!!

This seems to be our issue, so want to see if anything is actually bought up or it's all just hearsay. If we're not told what can we do abo it.

Thanks
