skippy
Hi has anyone applied for any grants or funding to enhance their setting? I.e. To replace a playground or buy IT equipment like iPads? I just wondered if there is such a thing? I've been told about the lottery funding. Thanks
finleysmaid
yes we apply for grants on a regular basis ( I now have a member of the trustees who is in charge of this) . There are lots of avenues depending on what you want and how much. Lottery funding is fine if you are a registered charity looking for a largish amount...but there are lots of other options. Supermarkets ...co-op/and waitrose especially have good schemes. local trusts may have options (google!) check with parents to see if they can access grants through the companies they work for...or if they own the company would they match fund a project (they get tax relief on this)

blondie
Tesco do grants - the form is easy to complete too. They give out grants twice a year -if you miss first date they hold your request till next time - they let you know this and when time comes they email you to ask if you still want to proceed.
PaseyLtd
Our local authority used to have a grant coordinator contactable through their main switchboard who had an overview of all grants available and would advise on which ones to apply for - was a while ago though but may still be worth a try!!!
