Guest Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Hi. Just wondered if your LEA lets you use your funding over lunch times and also lets you charge for hot dinner? Thanks
Panders Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Kent let us use funding over lunch time, don't know about hot food charges though, but as that is an "extra", maybe they would, as long as it is not a rule that they must have that to get the funding, so, they could if they wished, bring in a lunch from home. 2
Guest Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 (edited) I'm in worcestershire and part of our three hour entitlement includes half an hour for lunch. Whilst we are private we are attached to a school and if lunch time wasn't counted in our hours we couldn't open and close in line with school. Children can have hot lunch but they have to pay for it, but it is subsidised a little Edited February 25, 2016 by Scarlettangel
Greenfinch Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Yes Lunchtime included. Children can bring pack up or pay for hot food.
MegaMum Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 We have lunch club for an hour. Our LA asked me if during this hour we offered EYFS. Yes, washing hands, healthy eating, managing behaviour, etc etc....... the list is endless. Ok, he said, you can claim funding for lunch club.
Foreveryoung Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 (edited) We didn't use to but now we do, we claim 30mins for lunch club if child uses under their allowance, packed lunch provided by parents. Edited February 27, 2016 by Foreveryoung
bubblejack Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 Yes I am in Essex and been allowed to claim over lunch time for years.
Guest Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 Yes, we use our funding for our lunch club, but the children bring in a packed lunch, we don't provide any food.
