narnia Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 If I was going to collect children from a local school, to bring straight to my setting, is it enough to have fully comprehensive insurance, and a full, clean licence; or would I need additional insurance? Quote
purplewednesday1 Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 You would need to be sure your insurance included business use - from memory you can't charge parents for collecting the children from school (because then you would need a taxi licence) so you collect children from school for free and then have a jolly expensive session when they get back to your setting (if you get my drift) 1 Quote
HoneyPancakes Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Business insurance is only about £20 extra. Quote
mrsbat Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Business insurance didn't cost any more for me......I've only got it in case of emergencies and we needed to get a child to the dr etc if we couldn't contact anyone - last resort and haven't had to use it yet..... Quote
Guest Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 I insure with Direct Line and doing it online with them gives you business class 1 as standard at no extra cost. Quote
