You may already be a nursery manager, or maybe an experienced Deputy who is looking for a new challenge. You will have a a relevant level 3 qualification or higher with at least one years management experience. Our current manager will be leaving in the new year and we envisage a few weeks handover period. The start date could be as soon as December. Whilst this vacancy is a temporary one (approximately one year) , it may lead to permanent employment within the nursery. Playtime is well established setting with high standards. We have a strong ethos based around providing the very best education and care for all our children. We have a well qualified and experienced staff team, and offer opportunities for staff training and development. You will be responsible for the overall management of the nursery setting in order to ensure the legal and curriculum requirements are fully met in accordance with company policy and procedures. Essential Skills A relevant childcare qualification to level 3 or above with at least 1 year of management experience. Strong leadership and communicaton skills An up to date knowledge of the EYFS and experience in supporting staff with planning and record keeping Good IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel Up to date Safeguarding/Child Protection Knowledge Comprehensive knowledge of current childcare legislation Desirable Skills Paediatric first aid qualification Food Hygiene qualification Designated Senior Lead qualification SEN experience Experience of OFSTED inspections Supporting and developing the nursery team business skills including managing a budget, marketing and use of nursery management software.
