melc
Hi everyone, Hope those of you who have finished for the summer have enjoyed a few days relaxation and for those of you just finishing... the end is in sight! We have had a discussion this morning about children deferring entry to Reception. Can someone confirm for me the age in which a child is expected to be in Reception if their parents choose to defer. I have always understood it to be the term after they are 5. However, we are now thinking that this may have changed. Many thanks in advance. diesel10
We have had a couple defer reception until sept 2016. One because their birthday is 30th Aug and the other as her special needs haven't been properly sorted out yet. In both cases professionals wrote reports and the council made a decision (based on the parents request really)
