Buttercup
Hi all I recently sent out a termly evaluation for our parents about their learning and progress etc. Alot of them especially with the 2-3 year old parents have come back saying they want little Jonny to make friends and play with other children. As you all know this does not normally happen until 3-4 years. Does anyone have a leaflet or info explaining this please. many thanks buttercup
Panders
Do you think they would accept it better if you had an "official" piece of paper explaining children's development rather than coming from you as the professional looking after their children? Maybe it's the usual answer parents give about their children I.e, they want them to be healthy, happy and making friends. What exactly was the question you asked in your evaluation which gave your parents' replies? Did you know there is a booklet called What to Expet, When guide for parents on child development you can find it on www.4children.org.uk sorry can't do a link on iPad!,

Lynne28
What to expect when This is fabulous for parents and I personally think it could help new staff with the EYFS as this is explained in very simple terms. I have done a copy of this and placed it in a display book in the foyer for parents. There is also: tuning in to two year olds another great addition. http://www.foundationyears.org.uk/files/2014/11/2yo_toolkit.pdf Edited July 18, 2015 by Lynne28
