Ikea canopy recall

I think having it over a bed at night time and the chance of getting caught up in it while asleep is a different risk to that when it is used in a supervised way when child is awake for a use other than originally intended..

maybe do a risk assessment .. taking the risk into account..

the same risk could be applied to lots of items in daily use in a setting.. we had lengths of cloth for tent making , scarves , some sari material for dressing up..blankets all could have the same risk if used inappropriately..

I think the key here is the over a bed/ sleeping child / unsupervised...

Of course supervision is the key. Sadly, this doesn't awlays happen, though Ikea are sayig they have had no reported incidents. Just thought a reminder and heads up was a good idea, but nothing beats good supervision
