Which is reception to year 1 - the first 3 years of school!

One report I listened to said for children age 5 to 7 - in our primaries this would be some of the reception children, year 1 and some of year 2 ????

 

No doubt the devil will be in the detail!

Schools operate on the year they turn whatever so they turn 5 in reception, 6 in yr 1 and 7 in yr 2. But they can start as 4, 5 and 6 in the same year.

The £600million that was in the news, is that per year? It must be otherwise they'd have to tell us a time limit. I know I've just given an answer, I just find it hard to understand where the money will come from and how it will be sustained!
