I am wanting to buy a label maker so it is quick and easy to name photo's etc. However looking online I am now confused with all the different types. Inge Posted August 5, 2012 Share Posted August 5, 2012 No replies but maybe it is because few if any do this... i know a few settings who printed off pages of labels using PC to do this.. but personally I preferred to see someone modelling good writing by naming the children's work, and encouraging the children to add their own ,mark, that they could begin to recognise developing it onto their name.. very often they could do some recognisable mark making.. that developed to letters. This is inparticular for a display birthday/age board which contains small photo's of the children. Our local advisor suggested adding children's names and they are too small and fiddly to have children do them or for us to stick on normal labels. I thought the children could help make them by finding the letters needed etc and it would also be a good use of ICT ( rather than prinitng off another 30 photo's and laminating etc). I can then use it to label office files etc which is why I didn't want to buy anything too expensive or costly to replenish. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The machine costs around £23 and you can buy paper or plastic tape to go in it. The tape costs around £5 for a 4m cassette.
