currycraver Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 Hi folks, Just wondering if anyone has a food hygiene policy that they are willing to share. I have looked at the epic maual recommended by the Environmental Officer and have started to put together my own policy but was hoping to get a few ideas. I have put in statements about starage, training, and handling of foods but just want to make sure it is correct. Many thanks
Deb Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 There is a smaller version for childminders which would save you a lot of work - that's what our environmental health officer gave to us at our last inspection. Think this is what it is called and it's not too arduous to go through. Safer food, safer business - childminders 1
Guest Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Thanks Deb, i have just downloaded the Safer Food - Better Business PDF from the website. It is a 48 page document with some great information. It would be a good idea to just simply print this document out and include it in your documentation, and then you can simply create a decent policy from this im sure no probs.
currycraver Posted April 20, 2012 Author Posted April 20, 2012 Many thanks I will have a look at the child minders version tomorrow.
finleysmaid Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 all these manuals can be sent free to you if you ring them (no need to print!) ...our health and hygiene policy (psla) covers all that is needed? have you got these or i'll try and give you a run down?
