Guest
Hi, I am hoping someone can help me. I have been interviewing for a staff member for an after school club working with 4-11 year olds. One interviewee has a 1999 NNEB ( cache diploma in nursery nursing) and says that the qualification enables her to work with children aged 0-11years. Is this correct? I thought it would only qualify someone up to age 5 or 8 years. I need to employ someone who has a full level 3 qualification as she will be acting in my absence. Unfortunately, the CWDC qualifications framework is not available until April and I need to make a decision ASAP. Thanks for your help Caroline
Scarlettangel
I have an NNEB as my supervisor of after school club. I also have an NVQ level 3 and at times a HTLA level 4. I have never been queried about her "only" being an NNEB and she is totally fab.

Guest
I also believe a NNEB is a level 3 qualification. I have 2 members of staff who have it and no one has ever said that they are not valid. AM x
hali
Yes NNEBs are qualified level 3 practitioners - best prsctise would say if its an old qualification that they are keeping up CPD training ;)
Hello Kitty
I did NNEB and we were qualified to age 8 if that helps at all.
