Professor Cathy Nutbrown today published an interim report which explores how to help people working in the early years to improve their skills, knowledge and development.

Looks interesting. There does seem to be alot of pressure to do more training, however, sometimes I think there needs to be pressure for staff to feel confident actually doing activities and also being able to because their ratio allows them.

 

However, training is of course invaluable.

have read the report in full. Intentions seem good, but as yet it's all still up for consideration. I am not at all sure how a shake up in qualifications would leave those of us already in the sector (ie with old qualifications. I for one will be furious if my EYPS becomes worthless, or my NVQ gets devalued.
