klc106 Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 We are looking to set up a vets surgery role play area after half term. All our children are 2yrs old. Does anyone have any ideas what to include or display? Thanks
laura Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 We've got leaflets and posters donated by the local vets. We use our doctors and nurses dressing up outfits with the doctors equipment and bags. We also have pet paw blankets that we put in baskets and food bowls. Phone, keyboard, diary etc for the office, chairs for the waiting area.
Fredbear Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Hi lots of lovely fluffy domestic pets, wild animals etc . We normally get our doctors kits out. Maybe some blankets, shoeboxes to make beds, water bowls, pretend food containers. Lots of lovely posters, pictures and books for sharing. We found the children liked to become an animal be prepared for lots of cats and dogs, have fun.
laura Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Meant to add we have lots of furry animals too! We also have zoo vets so have wild furry animals! x
Guest Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 The RSPCA website has lots of brilliant posters for displaying in your 'vets' and they also have a comprehensive list of what a role play area might include. I would recommend a look.
SueFinanceManager Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 RSPCA bits here Some stuff here......not sure if the downloaded stuff is free....if you have to pay then there are some ideas you could copy. Meet the vet - Nursery World piece
