Stargrower
Hi everyone I wondered what others use to display mark-making materials for toddlers/two-year-olds. In our Pre-school Room (3-5's) we have a wooden trolley of resources - all the usual pens, pencils, biros, crayons, plus sellotape, scissors, hole punches, paper, envelopes etc etc. But we're struggling to provide appropriate mark-making bits for younger ones. We don't really want or need a big trolley like the older children, but want more than putting a few pencils and paper out on the table. Does anyone have any ideas of how to provide these kind of resources for 2 year olds to select themselves? Thanks Beehive
zigzag
What about the tack boxes that grooms use for horses, we use these outside. They are lightweight, have a handle for transporting easily, cheap and come in lots of bright colours. They are not very big but you can certainly get what you need in them, especially if you buy a couple of them. I got ours from an online horse shop but may be worth checking Ebay. finleysmaid
we have a couple of 'cleaners trays'...you know the ones with the handles on that cleaners carry their supplies around in It has handles and three sections in it one the right size for paper and then two sections for crayons/felt tips/crayons etc. I think they particularly like the fact they can transport them around (inside and out) sound similar to zig zags idea Edited January 9, 2012 by finleysmaid
zigzag
They are called plastic tack trays, not tack boxes. Found them at www.barnstormers.co.uk
