The hoarder started his collection of newspapers 40 years ago and it escalated into hoarding everything to the extent of losing all the room in his house and garden.All credit to a garden maintenence guy who treated him with such kindness which enabled the hoarder to start to realise that it was a medical problem. The guy who helped him out is a treasure, the council and some members of the community should be hanging their heads in shame. I saw a programme similar to that a while ago. A family were trying to help their mother to clear some of her stuff, anything they picked up she tried to take back so it came to bartering one piece for another. The mothers anxiety grew so much they had to do it in stages. It must be terrible especially when they know they have a problem and cant stop it.
