hali Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Anyone seen the John Lewis advert - brings tears to your eyes........so sweet Quote
louby loo Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Haven't seen it yet..... but heard it's one you either love or hate? I remember last year's, when there was uproar about the poor dog being left outside, and something about a 'horses head'!! ..........anyway off to search for advert now. Quote
hali Posted November 12, 2011 Author Posted November 12, 2011 just had to search for that one but remember it now - this one much nicer Quote
louby loo Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Watched it- and liked it!!! when searching I did find a few discussions about how it linked to a couple of 'sinister films' ... But I do not really watch films / tv - so that connection was way above my head!!! I liked the fact it was about giving rather than receiving which makes a nice change. Xxx Quote
Guest Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Saw it last night and .... loved it! It's different from the ones in recent years but still has that quirky edge to it. I loved how it turned out it wasn't because he was waiting for his presents, but because he couldn't wait to give his present - it's the giving not the getting! I love how John Lewis do their ads a bit different to everyone else! I'm really disappointed that M&S have gone with their current one - it's not very M&S although M&S isn't very M&S anymore if you know what I mean! Quote
Guest ChunkyMan Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Just seen it on Youtube and almost sheda tear...such a lovely message x Quote
Pimms o'clock? Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 (edited) ...not a dry eye in our house when its on!!! I'm left wondering though, will mum and dad open the present on Christmas morning and will have the TV on just to watch out for the adverts - I would love to know what his big secret is!!!
