Bliss Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 I would be grateful if anyone can direct me to a website where I can download the simple signs and symbols used for the pre-school daily visual timetable. Many thanks.

Bliss Posted September 4, 2011 Author Posted September 4, 2011 Thank you for these - will use both - and will return to the earlylearning website for loads of other stuff!
Rea Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 I used to take photos of children in the setting doing the routine things.
Guest Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 I used to take photos of children in the setting doing the routine things. That is a lovely idea - I thought of doing that but haven't yet suggested it to my colleagues. Slso using some photo's such as these to help define areas of the room etc. Now you've also mentioned it encourages me mpore to suggest it. Thank you!
Guest Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 It's lovely to have photos but I'd use symbols too, maybe alongside the photos so there can be continuity, especially if a visual timetable is used in the next class
HappyMaz Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 I have temporarily made millhill's post invisible whilst we investigate whether the document she uploaded is subject to copyright. We have to be so careful when uploading documents to make sure that they do not breach the originator's copyright. If I can find a weblink to where this document can be downloaded free of charge, I will of course make her post visible again.
SueJ Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Our visual timetable uses photos of the setting for the majority of activities we also have a BSL cd which we use to make other pictures. The following website also has some free stuff on it and is often worth a look. Widgit and other symbols website
