fairydollpink
Hi can anyone tell me if the manager of a committee run preschool can be the main contact person for Ofsted? My chair person has just stood down and she is currently the contact person. My thinking is that I would be better doing it as I am there every day and am aware of how to do the day to day running of the setting. Am sure I read in another thread that the manager was the main contact.Any advice gratefully received
lynned55
I'm Manager and am th emain contact person. As our chairs change on an annual (bi annual if we are lucky) then it just wouldn't make sense for it to be anyone else.
finleysmaid
interesting - i was told i was not allowed to be the lead person because it had to be the committee chair
korkycat
I'm contact person too. Years ago it was queried by an Ofsted inspector who 'phoned 'head office' and was told it was OK. korkycat

Fredbear
Yes i am main contact of our pre-school and have never been told otherwise, why change what works well. Like previous threads have already stated committees come and go, and we are there year in year out. But who knows lets see when Ofsted visit anytime soon.
