Guest Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 (edited) I am trying to complete our SEF this week. I have all the info. from various team meetings etc. but am a bit nervous about actually locating the online form and completing it. I have heard various things about not being able to cut and paste and not being able to move things/change things etc. I have my security token but not sure what to do next. So in SEF speak please could you: Tell us about a) The extent to which one is able to cut and paste The effectiveness of the user in being able to move/change things Do not simply list all that you do. Please rate your advice as a) Outstanding amazing c) incredible etc. etc. Thank you Edited October 22, 2010 by Edlee
Guest Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Have no idea how those smiley faces got in there- sorry about that. As you can see- secretarial skills not great!
louby loo Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Can't answer about SEF - although I shall be watching as I'm finally uploading ours next week. but I can tell you that............... b + ) = Hope that worked!!!
dottyp Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 I don't want to put the cat amongst the pigeons, but I heard that the SEF was being discontinued in June 2011 for Early Years and that a strong development programme within your setting was adequate for Ofsted requirements. dottyp
Gezabel Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 As it stands the SEF is due to be discontinued but ONLY for schools so for many of us it is business as usual as far as the SEF is concerned. You can copy and past and once you are 'in' to the on line document it really is straightforward, you just need to read the instructions and you should be fine
Cait Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 You can cut and paste quite easily. All you need to do is highlight the text you want on your own document and hold down your CTRL key and press C to copy. Then go to where you want it and hold down CTRL again and press V to paste. Have a try - you can copy pdf files into word like this too
Buttercup Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 We were told not to put ourselves down if we think we are outstanding then put it otherwise they will only look at you as good. Guess what I put us as outstanding and thats what we got. One tip not spell check. Best of luck. Need to update mine took ages to put it on now ignoring it. Buttercup
Guest Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Thats not right if you think you are outstanding grade yourselves as such, my colleagues did and they were given outstanding because their setting is outstanding not because they did or didnt put good or outstanding when grading themselves!
Buttercup Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 sorry did not write that correctly. As you say if you think you are outstanding then put it which is what we did and got it. buttercup
